Makbule Kımızcı was born in 1950 in İzmir, Turkey. After completing her primary and secondary education in İzmir, she graduated from 9 Eylul University Buca Education Faculty Fine Arts Education Painting Department in 1970, after which she became a student of Turgut Pura, Şeref Bigali, and Jean Pierre.
Throughout her career, Makbule worked as a Visual Arts teacher in Akşehir, Selçuk (İzmir), Muş, Ankara. She focussed her efforts in her field working at the Turkish Gifted and Talented E.K.S Foundation- LEADERS School in Ankara for three years (2014-2017), which ignited her passion for children in the arts.
Makbule has worked as an educator in the field of Visual Arts for forty-seven years, achieving significant recognition in the process. In 1984, she earned the prestigious 1st prize in the Batik branch competition hosted by TRT. This achievement marked her art as the standout choice among contestants, a testament to her exceptional talent and dedication.
Makbule’s artistic journey led her to unveil eighteen group exhibitions and eleven solo exhibitions, showcasing her creations developed using the Silk Art Technique. She’s still actively creating in the world of Silk Art and Children’s Painting.
